Strung Out is a comedy murder mystery about grown women behaving badly. Competitive tennis is the vehicle for this darkly hilarious film and a bougie Country Club is the setting.
A shady tennis pro, unhinged tennis girls, a beat cop, a small town newspaper, and a counterfeit drug ring all orbit Charlie, a single mom who’s barely hanging on. When her rival team's number one singles player dies suddenly under suspicious circumstances, Charlie's accused of the murder, and things get serious. And funny.
Take equal parts Bad Moms, Bridesmaids and Big Little Lies, add salt, crushed dreams, a handful of pills, a couple gashes of murder, and this comedy serves an ace. Strung Out was most recently compared to HBO's The Flight Attendant.

GIGI ARNOLD is the screenwriter of the comedy murder mystery Strung Out based on her novel of the same name, which garnered a 5-star rating on Amazon. Strung Out has also been developed into a reality show and was optioned by international TV powerhouse FremantleMedia. Other works include the screenplays Dead In Bed and Restless.
After attending the MFA program in film at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, Arnold went on to work in development and publicity in the film and music industries for Enigma Records, the William Morris Agency, and Chanin-Blackwell productions, and as the head writer for a successful children’s mystery series, Sneaker Seekers. Arnold, a competitive tennis player who has played at USTA Nationals, conceived the idea for Strung Out after experiencing the comically nasty mean-girl bullying rampant in the USTA Ladies Tennis circuit, where cutthroat female opponents will do anything to win.
